After a wonderful wedding celebration, there's nothing better than a well-deserved honeymoon. A trip to exotic Morocco would be the perfect cap to the soiree.

Inspired by the whitewashed walls from the last post, a mod style that utilizes soft color palette, pattern play and brass vases and lanterns to retain the moroccan charm.
These moroccan inspired patterns would work great on cakes, fabric and stationery. I adore how the patterns create such visual impact. To keep the look from getting too messy, select one color and work with different tones.

This cake really caught me with the henna patterns on the lower tiers, and the amazing gold colored dome on top. It really captures the essence of Morocco. If going the full works with color, patterns and structure isn't your style, opt for a white fondant and have patterns piped throughout or just at the base of each tier. I find gold colored piping to be especially apt for a moroccan-inspired cake.

Creating a cozy lounge area for cocktails allows your guests to warm up before the reception begins. I adore the bright pink and orange cushions against a white tent and sheer drapes.
If renting benches and cushions in such a color scheme is not feasible, think accents that will create a similar feel. Drape sheer shimmery fabric at the posts, anchor the drapes with tassels, line low tables with patterned fabric, arrange flower centerpieces in brass or gold vases, and position moroccan lamps around the area. All these work wonderfully as accents for your home, that's money well spent.

I love the many patterns that can be seen in Moroccan decor, it extends well into their tableware. Brass and gold accents are perfect accompaniment to the kaleidoscope of colors.

The dessert table set up with a fuchsia backdrop and purple tablecloth can bring a beautiful Moroccan flair. Colour the desserts with fuchsia, purple and orange, then display them in wooden and brass trays. Morocan lamps add wonderful detail. I absolutely adore the rich colours.
I adore the saturated hues of moroccan decor, fretwork, zigzag and paisley patterns splashed with a kaleidoscope of colors are such a feast for the eyes. Deep fuchsia, bright orange and luxurious purple work amazingly together. The effect is rich and exotic, full of energy.
